2020 has been quite the unpredictable year, including the weather here in Northeast PA! We had almost a record-breaking snow fall, with totals of 12” to 3’, depending on your location. SERVPRO received calls from customers asking about ice dams on their roofs, causing water damage inside their homes. The very next week, we received 1.5” to 3” of rain, with the snowpack melting, we were then under sever flood watches. With the advance warnings, people were able to prepare by moving materials to higher ground. Thankfully, the rivers did not rise as high as anticipated, and many were spared.
